Doodle Devil is a direct sequel to the popular logic game Doodle God , which allows us to play as the devil who commits sins and brings out the worst traits of human nature. The game was developed by the studio JoyBits, founded in 2002.
Doodle Devil game mechanics
The plot is not an important element of the game, but it accompanies us throughout the game. As lords of hell, we create new sins, diseases, demons, and more by mixing different ingredients together. Moreover, our creations may be necessary to bring new horrors to life. Additional components are also provided in subsequent stages, into which Doodle Devil is split . Each discovery is accompanied by a corresponding (and often hilarious) quote.
The goal of the game is to uncover the seven deadly sins, but there are also special tasks along the way. They boil down to acquiring unique artifacts or groups of items linked together in a short story.
In addition to the main campaign and the aforementioned side missions , players can try their hand at battles with demons (in which you have to help your subordinate by combining elements) and single-player puzzles.
Like other games from JoyBits studio, Doodle Devil uses simple yet colorful 2D graphics that are pleasing to the eye. There are no luxurious locations or too many spectacular special effects. Most of the time is spent in the crafting menu.
